Yahoo Mail is now the worst affected
Yahoo Mail is now heading towards the 2,000 report mark on Downdetector in the US, which matches the first spikes we saw during the big July outage, so it’s now becoming a major issue for many.
I haven’t been able to replicate the issues, logging into my Yahoo Mail account (for the first time this year) without issue. But frustration is understandably growing for many on social media, with many reporting that the website’s user interface is now taking a long time to load…
What have Yahoo and AOL said?

This is now a confirmed issue, as Yahoo and AOL release identical updates to their X accounts; after all, they are currently part of the same company.
As you can see from Yahoo’s message, these issues don’t seem to affect everyone, and messages from “some users” are also reflected in Downdetector’s numbers.
In response to that post, a user says that “the emails I sent since around 11:15 am are showing as “queued” and will not be processed.” So this doesn’t just affect logins: for many, there appears to be a server issue affecting email in general.

AOL reports are on the rise
Yahoo and AOL are currently trying to unseat Shopify for the title of “biggest Cyber Monday outage,” with thousands of people reporting login issues in the US and UK.
Right now, the numbers are not as big as the spikes we saw. during a similar outage in July, when several thousand AOL users complained about email problems. But reports are increasing rapidly and currently number just over 1,000 in the United States.
Both Yahoo and AOL have acknowledged the problems many are experiencing accessing their email accounts, but have not yet estimated when a solution could be implemented.
