Thanksgiving weekend was “special” for Tom Brady, as the NFL quarterback legend got sentimental with a lengthy social media post showing days filled with nostalgia, family and more.
Brady fulfilled his Thanksgiving Day duties for Fox Sports, calling the Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers game alongside announcer Kevin Burkhardt, but he also enjoyed some college festivities after a trip to his alma matter, the University of Michigan, for “The Game” against Ohio State and more.
Brady posted a carousel of photos on her Instagram, featuring her children (Jack, 18, Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12), as well as her parents, Galynn Patricia and Tom Sr., and her niece Hannah Brady, who plays Division I volleyball for the Wolverines.

“What a special Thanksgiving weekend with the people I love the most,” the 48-year-old future Pro Football Hall of Famer captioned the carousel. “Laugh, play, eat too much… and enjoy our family, football and tradition in the state of Michigan.”
Brady’s first photo on the carousel was of him and his daughter, Vivian, smiling on the lawn of the Big House in Ann Arbor. However, Brady and company certainly would have liked a different outcome during the game, as the Buckeyes finally snapped their losing streak against their most heated rival to remain the best team in the country.
The second photo was also a family affair, this time on the university volleyball court.

“I feel very blessed to work with the best team in [Fox Sports] delivering a great game between the Lions and Packers,” Brady wrote. “Working with Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews, Tom Rinaldi and our entire team made last Thursday a lot of fun. And then traveling briefly down the road to Ann Arbor to see the most athletic member of the Brady family to ever play at Michigan, my niece who plays for the Wolverines volleyball team, and spending time with my entire family made this one of the best Thanksgivings ever.”
Brady worked his way through the Wolverines’ football quarterback roster, starting in 1995 as a freshman at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, California.
He became sentimental about his time in Ann Arbor, which he says he always cherishes.

“It’s always a very special experience to be on the Michigan campus, especially now that I no longer have to take finals!” Brady joked. “We have to go to the big house to watch Michigan football take on a great Ohio State team. [angry emoji] And seeing so many former teammates and friends meant a lot to me. “I am so grateful for all of the incredible memories and relationships that have been created since I started at Michigan in 1995.”
But the trip to Ann Arbor wasn’t just about remembering Brady: He also enjoyed every second his family spent with him there, especially his children.
“Sharing that experience and all those memories with my kids was a dream come true. The game didn’t go the way we expected (I still maintain it was a touchback!),” Brady wrote, referencing a controversial Ohio State touchdown by Jeremiah Smith in the Michigan loss. “But the sun always rises the next day, and realizing that it was one of the best weekends of my life surrounded by the love of my parents means a lot to me. I hope to come back soon and finish the NFL season strong and create more unforgettable memories with this team.

“Sending my love and gratitude to everyone and I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving too. Even the people of Columbus [winking emoji]”.
As the photo carousel continued, Brady was seen exiting the tunnel and entering the Big House field before the Michigan-Ohio State game with his daughter. He was also photographed with his two children in the tunnel, sharing a game on the volleyball court with his niece and even making a catch inside a practice facility for the Wolverines football team with Jack.
It was a family affair in both Detroit and Ann Arbor, and it’s certainly one Brady and the rest of his family won’t forget.
