- AWS Nova Forge offers a new way to incorporate AI models
- Customers can choose from a variety of models on Amazon.
- Nova 2 also features a range of basic models for your use
AWS has introduced Nova Forge, a new service that will allow users to customize the company’s AI models exactly to their liking.
Announced at AWS re:Invent 2025, the platform will allow customers to create frontier models by first selecting an initial model and a checkpoint, before mixing their data with datasets curated by Amazon, before deploying them to Bedrock.
The company also introduced Amazon Nova 2 with four new entry-level models, available in three tiers: from everyday workloads to more complex jobs, and new voice-to-voice human conversations.

Available for $100,000 per year, Nova Forge will allow customers to create “Novellas,” custom versions of AWS Nova models.
These can be pre-trained, semi-trained or post-trained models, and companies can then train on their own proprietary data, much cheaper than doing things from scratch, which can cost millions of dollars and consume thousands of hours of work.
“The more you customize the models, the more you add a lot of data in post-training, these models tend to forget some of the interesting things they learned before core reasoning,” AWS CEO Matt Garman said in his keynote.
“It’s a bit like humans trying to learn a new language. When you start when you’re very young, it’s actually relatively easy to learn, but when you try and learn a new language later in life, it’s actually much, much harder. Model training is kind of like that, too.”
Nova was first announced in 2024 and Nova Forge is already used on several internal Amazon teams.
