The clarification comes after reports emerged suggesting that Qatar’s national airline had closed its offices in Pakistan as part of cost-cutting initiatives.
However, Qatar Airways confirmed that these reports were false, emphasizing that its services in the country have not been affected.
In a related development, Qatar Airways recently announced the resumption of flights to Damascus, Syria, after a 13-year hiatus.
The airline will operate three weekly flights to the Syrian capital, marking a significant step towards regional reconnection, particularly after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime following years of civil war.
Qatar Airways has experienced a remarkable financial year, recording a record 39% increase in its annual net profit, reaching 6.1 billion Qatari riyals ($1.67 billion).
