Princess Kate was delighted to meet a very special guest at her annual Christmas Carol service, a guest likely invited by Prince William.
Before the service began at Westminster Abbey on Friday, December 5, the Princess of Wales greeted guests and came face to face with actor Eugene Levy, who interviewed William for an episode of The reluctant traveler. The October 3 episode featured the future king talking about his wife’s battle with cancer, his parents’ divorce and the kind of stability he hopes to create for his children, marking his most emotional and raw television interviews to date.
According to a clip shared by the daily mailRoyal reporter Rebecca English, the Schitt’s Creek The actor shook Kate’s hand and said, “Nice to meet you!”
“You know my husband very well,” Kate noted as Levy confirmed, “I had a wonderful day with your husband.”
“I hope he took care of you,” Kate joked. Levy nodded and said, “He took care of me, yes, he did.”
When Levy asked if William had enjoyed the day as much as he did, Kate nodded and was heard faintly thanking Levy.
During the interview, Levy gently asked William, “Last year, your wife and father were sick. How are things now, first of all?”
The Prince of Wales responded: “Yes, things are good. Everything is progressing in the right way, which is good news. But I would say that 2024 was the most difficult year I have ever had. Trying to balance protecting the children, Catherine, my father needs a bit of protection…”
He added: “Everyone has their own mechanisms for dealing with these kinds of things, and children are constantly learning and adapting. We try to give them the security they need.”
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were also seen arriving at the Together At Christmas service alongside their parents.
