Tom Cruise, after his important Oscar victory, is back in the news when one of his box office fops tops the streaming charts.
The successful Cruise franchise Mission: Impossible The last installment obtained its well-deserved position through the streaming platform.
Reported by MovieWeb, Mission: Impossible: The Final Reckoning debuted at number one on Paramount+.
Originally, the film garnered enough reviews but fell short of other films in the franchise. Critics gave it a score of 80%, while audiences gave it 88%.
The film’s official synopsis read: “Two months after the events of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the Impossible Mission Force (IMF) continue their search for the Entity, a terrorist AI that has infiltrated intelligence networks around the world.”
It continues: “As pressure mounts as Hunt and his team are hunted by governments, ghosts from their past emerge in the latest installment of the iconic spy action series.”
In addition to Final Reckoning, Cruise currently holds the top four spots on the US chart, with Mission: Impossible and Mission: Impossible II in second and fourth place, while his police thriller American Made is in third place.
The cruise is another success. Top Gun: MaverickHe is sitting at number 10.
Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning also featured Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny and many more.
The film was released on May 23, 2025.
