Jessie J has revealed there is still a chance her cancer could return as she opened up about the emotional moment she shared with her mother after receiving her diagnosis.
The 37-year-old singer announced in June that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and subsequently underwent a mastectomy followed by reconstructive surgery.
While Jessie said she feels “super lucky” that her cancer was caught early, she admitted there’s still a chance it could come back.
The star also revealed that her mother was the first person she called after hearing the devastating news and shared the heartbreaking words she said to her during that moment.
“I remember first calling my mom and saying, ‘Well, I can’t die because I have Skye,'” Jessie told him. alphabet News.
Speaking about her battle with cancer, Jessie said: “I’ve been very lucky, very lucky, to find it so early.”
‘It was not invasive, thank God. “I know there’s a chance he’ll come back, but until then we’re just living life.”
Jessie, now a mother of one, compared her cancer surgery experience to an episode of black mirror.
The pop star explained that she hates being put under general anesthesia and admitted that the sensation reminds her of the spooky and surreal scenarios depicted in the hit Netflix sci-fi series.
