Pakistan is invincible, says CDF Asim Munir

Won’t let anyone compromise Pakistan’s sovereignty, says tri-service integration aligns with new realities

RAWALPINDI:

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Monday reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation; However, no one will be allowed to compromise its sovereignty and territorial integrity or test its resolve.

Addressing the officers of the three armed forces, the CDF said: “Let us all be aware that Pakistan is invincible and has been protected by faithful and brave soldiers and by the unwavering determination of a united nation.”

The CDF reiterated the extraordinary courage and conviction displayed by the Pakistani nation, particularly the professionalism of the brave men and women of the armed forces during Marka-e-Haq, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

He highlighted that Marka-e-Haq’s multi-domain operations have now become a textbook example and a case study for future wars.

The COAS paid a deep tribute to the martyrs who will always be the pride of the nation.

Emphasizing the need for a formalized agreement for integration and synergy of the three services, he highlighted that the armed forces must remain aligned with the new realities of warfare that are now expanding to an exhaustive range of emerging technologies in cyberspace, the electromagnetic spectrum, deep space, information operations, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

He described the newly established headquarters of the CDF as historic, which will provide the integration, coherence and coordination necessary to face the dynamics of the spectrum of future threats under an umbrella of three services.

He outlined the vision of the armed forces being a culturally futuristic, combat-ready military machine that deters aggression and enjoys the full confidence of the nation.

He went on to say that India should not remain under any illusion or self-deception; Next time, Pakistan’s response will be even quicker and more severe. A clear message has also been conveyed to the Taliban regime that they have no choice but to choose between Fitna-al-Khawarij and Pakistan, he added.

The ceremony included presentation of awards to Marka-e-Haq heroes of Pakistan Navy and Air Force to recognize their acts of valor during the war.

Earlier, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was awarded the Tri-Services Guard of Honor at the General Headquarters (GHQ) to commemorate the institution of appointment of the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces (COAS and CDF).

The ceremony was attended by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff and senior military officers of all three services.
