A terrifying moment occurred during the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars game when Michael Pittman Jr. accidentally knocked over a security guard, who fell hard on the grass near the end zone.

On what would have been a touchdown catch – Pittman was called for offensive pass interference to nullify the hold in the end zone – he was pushed and lost his balance in rainy conditions while sliding on the grass.

But Pittman immediately punched a security guard, who wasn’t looking back as he went about his duty facing the Jacksonville crowd at EverBank Stadium. The security guard hit the grass hard and the back of his head slammed into the ground.

Pittman rushed to check on the man before finally rejoining his team on the field.

After the game, Pittman posted on X in hopes of finding out the security guard’s status.

“Any news on the security guard who hit his head on the bench yesterday?” Pittman asked his followers with a praying hands emoji.

Pak Gazette Digital asked Pittman on Wednesday if he ever heard about the man he collided with.

“I got updates from other people,” said Pittman, who also spoke about his partnership with Oral-B. “We’re still working on it – we have a big media team in our building. They said they would give me his name so I can contact him personally and check on him.

“That was a scary thing for everyone involved, but they said he left on his own accord. He’s fine, so that’s good.”

NFL players are always going the extra mile to help their teams win games, but sometimes the heat of competition causes spectators on the sidelines to become collateral damage. This was one of the scarier blows between a player and the game day staff, but it’s good to know the security guard seems to be good.

That would have been the first touchdown pass of rookie Riley Leonard’s young career if Pittman’s grab had meant six points. But it ultimately didn’t work out in the 36-19 loss, where starting quarterback Daniel Jones was ruled out for the season with a torn Achilles tendon in the first quarter.

As a result, the Colts signed 44-year-old Philip Rivers, who came out of retirement to play for the last time in the NFL in 2020, Pittman’s rookie year in the league.

PERFECT CLEAN, PERFECT GAME

Pittman partnered with Oral-B, which was recently named the official toothbrush of the NFL, and recorded fun content featuring beloved Colts mascot Blue.

Pittman and Blue were trying to clean their pearly whites with the new iO Series electric toothbrush, and while Blue is known for his jiggling belly during games, he also had a giant set of teeth to clean right before the game.

As someone who never deviates from his game day routine, he starts by brushing his teeth first and foremost in the morning.

“Smile is everything,” Pittman said. “Since Oral-B is the official toothbrush of the NFL, I felt like it was the perfect partner because they give you the perfect clean so you can play the perfect game with their IO series toothbrush that they just launched. It does all the work for you, so it couldn’t be easier.”
