- Garmin’s Vivosmart 6 tracker just leaked on several websites
- The leaks detail the upcoming features that are expected to come with the device.
- Includes GPS tracking for the first time in a Vivosmart tracker
CES 2026 is one of the biggest tech events on next year’s calendar, and a leak from Garmin has just revealed what could be one of the company’s biggest announcements at the show, which begins on January 6.
News site Garmin Rumors has discovered references on Garmin’s Indonesian website to an as-yet-unreleased Vivosmart 6 fitness tracker. This would be the successor to the well-received Vivosmart 5 and could come with a variety of features that take it to the next level.
In particular, the leak indicates that the Vivosmart range will have integrated GPS tracking for the first time. That would mean you would no longer need to rely on your phone’s GPS tracking while doing an outdoor workout, giving you a more convenient way to record and track your routes.
In that regard, Garmin Rumors noted a description on the Garmin Indonesia site that said: “[The] Vivosmart 6 is a stylish sports watch suitable for both men and women. It is equipped with integrated GPS and more than 30 sports applications. “This watch can track activities such as walking, running, cycling, swimming and even wheelchair user activities, making it an ideal choice for your daily activity tracking.”
With 30 sports available to track, users should have many more options than the 14 possible with the Vivosmart 5.
More leaks
On top of that, a placeholder page for the Vivosmart 6 was prematurely posted on Garmin’s Swedish website, further reinforcing the idea that a new wearable device is on the way.
And an unknown Garmin device with model number A04986 has been registered with South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency. It used the “Fitness Product” category adopted by previous Vivosmart devices, instead of the “Smart Watch” used by Fenix and Forerunner wearables. Given the timing, CES 2026 seems like a logical place to debut the product.
Garmin may have ventured into new territory with its Index Sleep Monitor and Index S2 Smart Scale in recent years, but its fitness trackers remain a core concern alongside its popular smartwatches, and it looks like we’ll see a new tracker at CES 2026.
While the exact details of the price and release date are unknown, it seems pretty clear that Garmin is almost ready to reveal its latest wearable to the world, and we’ll bring you all the official news when it does.
