Georgina RodrÃguez shared her thoughts after her engagement to Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese soccer player, 40, proposed to the Argentine-Spanish model, 31, with a $3 million, 30-carat engagement ring in August, after a nine-year courtship.
In an interview with ELLE SpainGeorgina joked that that ring was “the least she could do” after waiting so long to pop the question.
She said: ‘It’s beautiful. It’s the least he could offer me after ten years of waiting (laughs). The truth is that when he proposed to me it was the last thing on his mind.
‘It took me a long time to process the huge stone he gave me. I was so surprised that I left it in my room and didn’t open it to sunlight until the next day (laughs).’
The couple have been in a relationship since 2016 and have daughters together, Alana, seven, and Bella, two. Bella’s twin brother, Angel, died tragically during childbirth.
Georgina is also stepmother to Cristiano’s three other children, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., 15, and twins Eva and Mateo, eight, who were born through a surrogate mother.
The couple has not ruled out having more children.
