Four suspected Fitna-al-Khwarij militants killed in Panjgur IBO: ISPR

PANJGUR:

Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district on December 26 over what the military described as the suspected presence of militants linking to an “Indian proxy group”, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

According to the statement, security personnel intervened at the scene during the operation and an exchange of fire took place, resulting in the death of four suspected militants. The ISPR said weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered, adding that the individuals were “involved in terrorist activities in the area.”

The military further stated that disinfection operations were being carried out in the surrounding area.

The operation, he said, is part of the ongoing anti-terror campaign under “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the federal apex committee on National Action Plan.

Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the role of security personnel involved in the Panjgur operation and expressed support for continued action against what he called militant networks and their enablers. Naqvi said the government and security agencies would continue such efforts along with public support.
