like both I’m a celebrity… and famous traitors have proven in recent months, there’s nothing audiences love more than seeing well-known names taken out of their comfort zone, and who better to do it than the king of sardonic mockery, Lord Sugar.
In this celebrity special from the reality business competition, two all-star teams are sent to Lapland to develop, market and sell their own gingerbread cookies. It’s all our favorite tasks rolled into one, promising dodgy jingles, agonizing commercials, and kitchen nightmares. And it’s all for charity, since unlike the usual curious creations we see on the show, these cookies are on sale nationwide and part of each purchase goes to the work of Children in Need.
Among the celebrities participating is Big BrotherAJ Odudu, TV presenter Angela Scanlon, EastEnders‘Jake Wood, JLS star JB Gill, legendary gladiator Matt Morsia, miranda actress Sarah Hadland and television judge and author Rob Rinder. There’s also Tom Skinner, fresh out Strictly and making an emotional return to The apprentice after appearing in the 2019 regular edition.
Also keep an eye out for a new edition on the other side of the boardroom table, with interview threat Mike Soutar temporarily taking the reins from Tim Campbell. As always, Baroness Brady will also be on hand to keep an eye on the contestants.

What do the judges think of The Celebrity Apprentice Christmas specials?
Mr. Sugar: “They’re obviously TV personalities on TV shows that I don’t watch. But it was good, very good! And very clever because it’s about Christmas and making cookies. And what’s different in this case is that the cookies are going on sale in supermarkets and stores this Christmas. And it’s all for Children in Need, which is a great cause.”
Baroness Brady: “I knew most of them, some better than others. But I admire them for putting in the time and the effort. It takes a special kind of person to be willing to put themselves through the ring like that. They were actually a very competitive group. I think they were all ambitious and they all wanted to win and they all wanted to raise as much money as possible. So that was good.”
Who is the new judge for The Celebrity Apprentice Christmas specials?
With regular judge and consultant Tim Campbell unavailable for the holiday special, Mike Soutar, known for his interrogative interview technique, stepped in.
“Unfortunately, Tim couldn’t make it,” says Lord Sugar, “so we called Mike to come, and Mike is very good. He’s been on a lot of our shows, he’s well known for doing all the interviews. He’s a very nice man and he knows the show inside out, so who better to call than Mike? He was very good, honestly.”
