Princess Anne meets Peter Phillips and Harriet at Sunday service

Princess Anne joins her eldest son Peter Phillips and his fiancée Harriet for a quiet post-Christmas gathering at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate.

Anne was among the senior royals who attended the church on Sunday morning, joining King Charles and other members of the family.

The Princess Royal was accompanied by her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, as well as close family, including her daughter Zara Tindall and grandchildren Mia and Lena, who brought more smiles to the crowd.

Peter Phillips’ appearance followed family Christmas Day celebrations, after he and his fiancée spent the holiday privately with their family.

The couple, engaged since August, continues to keep their festive moments relatively low-key.

David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon, and his daughter Lady Margaret Armstrong-Jones were also seen adding even more members of the Windsor clan to Sunday’s turnout.

Andrew was notably absent, recently seen driving alone near Windsor Castle amid the continuing fallout from his controversial ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

However, his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, made a supportive appearance at the first Christmas services.

Both appearances demonstrated that the sisters are not “guilty by association,” even though their father remains distant from family events.

After Thursday’s Christmas gathering with the whole family, King Charles is expected to enjoy a few quieter days at Sandringham before resuming his official engagements in the new year.
