Adam Peaty’s estranged brother James has broken his silence with a post said to have a “dark and hidden meaning” directed at his brother, after he was not invited to their wedding.
Adam Peaty was moved to tears when Holly Ramsay walked down the aisle at their Dec. 27 wedding ceremony at Bath Abbey.
Most of the groom’s family were reportedly not present.
Other reports claim that Adam’s father Mark was the only person invited to his big day, however he was allegedly told he would have to sit in the back “behind everyone else.”
Now, James has posted an old photograph with his mother, Caroline Peaty, standing outside the wedding venue.
The touching photo was deleted just 15 minutes after being shared on her Instagram Story, perhaps indicating regret over how bitter the feud has become.
Notably, James, who was arrested for allegedly sending threatening messages to the athlete during his bachelor party, used a revealing song alongside the image.
The song chosen by James was a remix of Speak softly, love, which appears several times in the iconic Mafia movie, the godfather.
Most of their family stayed at home 150 miles away while the couple tied the knot in front of 200 guests in Somerset.
A family source said the sun on Sunday: “Frankly, it’s disgusting that everything went ahead without Adam contacting his mom and dad beforehand.”
According to the publication, Adam’s sister Beth told Mark he could attend the ceremony, but he had to sit in the back.
The source added: “For him to turn around and tell Beth that her dad could come and sit in the back of the church is horrible.”
“Mark was told he could sit behind the companions, whom Adam had probably never even seen or spoken to.”
The source also claimed that Caroline became emotional as soon as she saw the photos posted after the big day.
