Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday said the government is taking effective measures for the betterment and welfare of farmers.
During the ceremony, the minister noted that the agricultural sector plays a fundamental role in the development of the country.
He said the country’s economy is heading in the right direction due to the prudent economic policies of the incumbent government. He noted that security forces are making unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terrorism and added that Pakistan’s defense is in good hands.
He paid tribute to the workers who worked tirelessly in the flood-affected areas for the assistance and safe evacuation of people.
