A fire has broken out in the Koh Sulaiman forest around Darazinda Tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan, damaging pine nuts, olive trees and other valuable trees.
According to reports, a fire has broken out in Koh Sulaiman forests of Darazinda Tehsil in Dera Ismail Khan for unknown reasons.
The fire has spread over more than five kilometers of the northern area of the forest, seriously damaging pine nuts, olive and pine trees, as well as other valuable trees in the natural forests. Local residents have strongly demanded that the KP Chief Minister take permanent measures to protect natural forests and immediately replace the current staff, from the Forest Secretary to civil servants and staff stationed in the area, with new staff.
They argue that the current staff, because they are local, cannot take action against those who illegally cut down trees and start fires.
