The Economic Affairs Division of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Tuesday noted that the European Union’s Generalized Schemes of Preference (GSP)-Plus played an important role for Pakistan’s economic growth.

The panel also reported that the European Union’s GSP-Plus plays a critical role in supporting Pakistan’s sustainable economic growth by providing enhanced trade preferences aimed at promoting sustainable development and accession to 27 international conventions on human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and good governance.
