Royal author Omid Scobie, who has often been referred to as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s spokesperson, marked his return to social media after months of silence.
The author, who wrote books including Finding Freedom and Endgame, emerged Monday amid the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s ongoing crisis.
Harry and Meghan, who founded their Archewell Foundation (now renamed Archewell Philanthropies) in 2020, are currently facing an exodus of employees, including their loyal assistant, James Holt, and their eleventh but prominent publicist, Meredith Maines.
On X, Omid had tweeted: “So… what did I miss? [raised hand emoji]”.
Curiosity was piqued among social media users and fans alike, who wondered if there was big news on the way for the Sussexes or if there was a book in the works.
He had also taken some time to respond to the responses he had received to his message. The author went ahead and shared another message to mark the end of the year.
Omid brutally attacked the British press for its coverage of former Prince Andrew and the “usual combat” directed at Meghan.
“A thought for 2026: perhaps the UK press could start reserving its vitriol for those facing accusations or convictions for rape, child abuse and criminal offences, rather than the usual attacks aimed at immigrants, successful non-white people and women they don’t like.”
The 44-year-old journalist has maintained that he has often used his contacts to learn more about the Sussexes’ lives, but that he is not a close friend of them.
There is a possibility that Omid will return to promote his next project.
Some fans even suggested that there could be a part 2 for end of the game that is in the works, which is why he is becoming active on social media.
While nothing is confirmed, fans believe there is some kind of news that Omid is sitting on.
The book touched on many topics, including how Prince Harry was portrayed as a royal betrayed by his family.
