Adam Peaty’s mother Caroline ‘struggling to cope’ with wedding fallout

Adam Peaty’s mother Caroline appeared to be still struggling with the healing process following the wedding fallout.

Peaty, a devout Christian, married influencer and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly at Bath Cathedral on December 27, following a dramatic row which resulted in the Olympian excluding his own mother from the service.

And taking to her social media, she shared a post from another account that said: ‘I deserve a year that doesn’t hurt.’ The full post read: “I’m not going to end this year pretending everything was okay.” This year I lost a part of me that I will never get back and I’m not forcing a smile like that hasn’t changed me.

‘So no… I won’t say “2026 will be my year.” I’ll be praying to recover next year, so that my heart never has to break like this again, so that I never have to survive something like this again.

‘I will be praying for peace… true peace, the one that lets me breathe without fighting for it. “I deserve a year that doesn’t hurt.”

His second post read: ‘Just a little reminder that there is no need to make resolutions, no big decisions, no big proclamations.

“You can just set some sweet intentions and take each day as it comes.”

The Peaty family was not invited to the nuptials, except for Adam’s sister Beth, who was bridesmaid alongside Holly’s sisters Megan and Tilly.
