Rescue 1122 responds to more than 270,000 emergencies in KP, annual report says


We responded to 25,000 traffic accidents, 169,000 medical emergencies, and transferred 58,800 patients to hospitals.

Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa released its annual performance report, stating that its teams provided emergency services to more than 2.7 million people during 2025. The report said rescuers were deployed in incidents ranging from medical cases to road accidents.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Ahmad Faizi said the organization responded to more than 271,000 emergency calls during the year.

The report indicates that around 289,000 injured and sick people were treated on the spot and transferred to hospitals across the province. He added that Rescue 1122 responded to 169,000 medical emergencies and 25,000 traffic accidents.

The service also responded to large-scale incidents, including 5,691 fire emergencies, 780 drowning cases, 194 building collapses and 93 explosions. The report described 2025 as one of the busiest years for Rescue 1122 teams.

The Health Ambulance Service, or Reference Service, transferred 58,800 critical patients to the main hospitals.

The service also operated in the merged districts and former FATA regions, establishing temporary rescue points in tourist destinations to provide on-site assistance to visitors and local residents.

The Rescue 1122 Khyber control room received 176,061 calls during the year. Of them, 136,138 were categorized as information or dropped calls, while 36,438 were classified as false or unnecessary calls, according to the report.

The report indicates that 6,185 people lost their lives in various incidents during the year. He added that Rescue 1122 teams provided emergency assistance and relief in each of these cases.
