FIA ASI reassigned to administrative position at Karachi airport

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of the immigration wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been assigned to an administrative post at the Karachi airport, with duties related to housekeeping, pest control and sewage maintenance.

ASI Munawar Mehdi has been put in charge of administrative supervision of toilet cleanliness, pest control measures and sewage maintenance at the airport, in coordination with the airport management authorities.

According to the order, Mehdi was instructed to submit hourly reports on the status of airport restrooms and to supervise pest control activities in sewage areas within the facility.

Sources at Karachi airport said the publication came following the outcome of an internal investigation against the officer. They added that the investigation officer had recommended that Mehdi not be posted at any immigration checkpoint in the future.

Based on the outcome of the investigation, the FIA ​​sent Mehdi to the Deputy Director’s Office and transferred him to an administrative assignment, which officials said was consistent with the investigation’s recommendations.
