Police say woman murdered near Landhi hospital and unidentified man dies in Orangi town
Multiple traffic incidents have been reported on Karachi roads since the beginning of the new year, including one near Landhi Chowrangi Hospital, where a 26-year-old woman riding a motorcycle died after being hit by a trailer carrying containers.
In a separate incident in Sector 11½ of Orangi town, Hawagoath, a man died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle. Meanwhile, on the Mehran Highway, near a rice warehouse, a truck carrying logs overturned and disrupted traffic, although no casualties were reported.
Accident at Landhi hospital
The accident took place on Friday morning near Landhi Chowrangi hospital in Quaidabad police limits when a trailer collided with a motorcycle, killing a 26-year-old woman identified as Bushra.
Witnesses said some passersby threw stones at the trailer, breaking the windshield, after which the driver fled the scene. Later, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities, while the motorcycle and trailer were seized.

SHO Quaidabad Muhammad Ali Shah said Bushra worked in a factory in Landhi Export Processing Zone and belonged to Okara, Punjab, where his burial is scheduled. He added that the relatives requested that the trailer remain in police custody until after the funeral.
In another incident in Sector 11½ of Orangi town near Zaitoon Madrasa, an unidentified 40-year-old man was killed in a road traffic incident. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital while the police and the crime scene unit carried out an inspection. Authorities said preliminary information suggested the incident may have occurred overnight in a collision with a heavy vehicle. As the victim could not be identified due to lack of fingerprint records, the body was later shifted to Edhi mortuary after autopsy.
Meanwhile, on the Mehran Highway, near a rice warehouse, a truck carrying logs overturned, disrupting traffic. The traffic police said the accident occurred due to potholes on the road. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was later removed to restore traffic flow.
