ISLAMABAD:
Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has vehemently defended the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments, stating that adjustments to the Constitution have begun to bear fruit.
Addressing the Rawalpindi Bar Association, the minister said the creation of the FCC, through the 27th amendment, has strengthened the federation as it has ensured balanced representation of all provinces.
He questioned the basis of criticism of the amendments, arguing that a 13-member FCC with equal representation from the four provinces plus a judge from Islamabad promotes greater unity, transparency and fairness in the judicial system.
