ISLAMABAD:
The federal government has revised the list of senior civil servants nominated for the National Management Course (NMC), a mandatory requirement for promotion to Grade 21, introducing new changes in the civil servants selected for the 124th NMC, it emerged on Friday.
The Establishment Division has formally informed the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore, about the latest revisions. As part of the update, the nominations of seven officials were withdrawn, while 14 additional officials were included in the list.
Officials whose appointments have been withdrawn include Commerce Ministry Joint Secretary Kashif Gulzar and Home Division Joint Secretary Akhlaq Ahmed Qureshi. Revenue Commissioners (IR) Karachi Zone-IV Shazia Abid and Shazia Memon, along with Revenue Commissioner Karachi Hasnain Brohi, also retired. The list also includes Ejaz Ahmed Khan Yousafzai, Accounting Member, Appellate Tribunal of Inland Revenue (ATIR) and Ehsanullah, Postmaster General, KP Circle, Peshawar.
Meanwhile, newly nominated officers for the course include Economic Affairs Division Joint Secretary Nasira Batool Jaffery, EPZA Karachi Director Ghulam Mustafa Wahucho and IT Joint Secretary Nazir Ahmed. Punjab Institute of Cardiology director Lahore Hassan Latif and SCO acting national coordinator Farhat Ayesha are also nominated.
Additional nominations include Irshad Hussain, FBR chief; Muhammad Majid, Commissioner RTO Gujranwala; and Yasmin Fatima, Chief Revenue Commissioner of Gujranwala. The list also includes director Law Karachi Shakeel Ahmed Kisana.
