The suspect claimed that on the day of the incident he first took the woman on a motorcycle to a deserted area near Mai Kolachi, where he killed her. He then returned to Kharadar, took the children to the same place one by one and killed them too. He further revealed that he had been in contact with the deceased woman, identified as Anila, for the last three years, alleging that she used taweez, amulets, black magic and blackmail against him.

Police said the suspect often visited the secluded Mai Kolachi area with the woman, giving him detailed knowledge of the place. Investigations also revealed that he had recently rented a house to the woman using his identity card.

SSP Amjad Ahmed Sheikh said that further investigations are underway and legal proceedings are underway based on the suspect’s video confession and other evidence.

Earlier, the four bodies found lying in a culvert near Mai Kolachi Road railway crossing on Friday night were identified as a woman, her daughter and two sons.

The family, from Kharadar, disappeared on December 30. The bodies, initially unidentified, were recovered from a dry sewer and later identified by the woman’s brother.
