KARACHI:
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has begun preparations for Ramadan by inviting tenders for the procurement of dates and juices to be served to passengers for iftar on domestic and international flights during the holy month.
According to the tender, 130,000 packages of dates, each weighing between 30 and 35 grams, will be purchased for distribution on flights during Ramadan. The airline has also issued a separate tender for the supply of 200ml juice packets, with millions of units to be purchased for the iftar service.
Interested suppliers have been instructed to submit their applications to PIA’s supply chain department by January 14.
