PTI wants talks, but Imran blocks way: Kaira

.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that although Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders seemed interested in negotiations, the real obstacle to dialogue was the party’s imprisoned founder, Imran Khan himself.

He said the prevailing stalemate on both sides made it unlikely that the talks would move forward.

Speaking on Express News’ Center Stage programme, Kaira said the PTI founder was personally blocking the negotiation process despite the will within his party’s ranks. He argued that the PTI needed to create political space for dialogue with other political parties if it really wanted negotiations to continue.
