- LG announced the OLED G6 at CES, featuring 20% higher brightness, a greatly improved anti-glare display, and the world’s first 120Hz TV
- LG C6 also announced in two models: LG C6 and LG C6H, with a new generation panel on the C6H
- The LG W6 ‘Wallpaper’ TV is a G6 but with a 9.9mm thick wireless connection box
- LG also announced new QNED mini-LED TVs with screens up to 115 inches and a Gallery art TV with frame included
The OLED evo G6 will use LG’s new Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 display panel, which advances the Primary RGB Tandem panel used in the LG G5, one of the best TVs of 2025. Improvements include Hyper Radiant Color technology, which LG says extends the brightness benefits of its Primary RGB Tandem panel to other image quality factors such as color and contrast.
LG’s specs for the new G6 include a Brightness Booster Ultra feature that will provide a 20% brightness boost over the G5. Reflection Free Premium technology will allow the G6 to deliver “perfect blacks” in bright or dark viewing conditions, with less than 0.5% screen reflectance.
This improvement in anti-reflective technology is really good; I have seen it in person and it is a very clear improvement over the reflectivity of the G5.
The TV’s bright room viewing performance will also be helped by the Ambient Filmmaker mode, which uses a built-in sensor to automatically adjust the picture based on lighting conditions without sacrificing accuracy.
The new G5 is optimized for gaming, with Nvidia G-Sync, FreeSync Premium Pro and 4K 165Hz support, plus a Motion Booster feature that enables 1080p gaming at 330Hz. It will also be the world’s first TV with built-in 4K 120Hz cloud gaming (via GeForce Now) and ultra-low latency Bluetooth controller support.
LG C6 breaks in two
The LG C6 was also introduced and, interestingly, there are now two versions: the LG C6 and the LG C6H.
The LG C6H is only available in 77- and 83-inch models, and the crucial difference here is that it uses a primary RGB tandem panel, the same type of panel used in the LG G5, which was LG’s flagship from last year. This means it should be much brighter than the LG C5 at those sizes; LG told us that it should basically match the G5’s brightness.
The regular LG C6 will be available in 42-, 48-, 55-, and 65-inch sizes and will use the same type of panel as last year’s LG G5.
The return of Wallpaper TV
LG also revealed the LG W6 ‘Wallpaper’ TV, which is basically the display and processing of an LG G6, in a super slim 9.9mm body and with LG’s Zero Connect wireless box for all connectivity needs, meaning the TV panel only has a single power cable.
It looks very impressive – the image above shows a photo of the wall in ambient mode, so it blends in perfectly, helped by its thinness.
On the left is the new, smaller Zero Connect box, which supports sending full-quality 4K 165Hz HDR images, even when the box is in a closet or has no line of sight to the TV, as long as it’s within 30 feet or so.
Abundant AI
LG’s new Alpha 11 AI Gen 3 processor is used in both the LG G6 and LG C6 (which is also used in the new Micro RGB TVs LG already announced), bringing the benefits of faster webOS UI navigation in addition to a host of AI-powered features.
A new AI Hub within webOS will house features such as AI Concierge and AI Search using Copilot and Gemini. To improve the picture, a new AI Genre TruMotion feature can address judder automatically by content genre, such as movies or sports, and an AI Super Upscaling feature provides optimization by genre and scene.
LG’s AI Sound Pro feature found on the G5 will also be included on the G6, offering a virtual 11.1.2 channel mix of movie and TV soundtracks. As with the G5, DTS soundtrack formats will not be supported on the new TV.
Screen sizes, pricing and availability for LG’s new OLEDs were not announced.
LG also confirmed that a B6 OLED model is coming, but said it wouldn’t reveal more details until later in 2026.
Ultra-large QNED, Gallery TV and more
LG will jump on the super-large-screen TV bandwagon in 2026, with its QNED mini-LED line available in screen sizes up to 115 inches. These models have an Alpha 8 AI Gen 3 processor and LG’s Dynamic QNED Color Pro.
LG also announced its new Gallery TV, an art TV with an included frame designed specifically for wall mounting. Gallery TV will use LG’s new Gallery+ subscription service, which allows viewers to access and display up to 5,000 images. The user can also generate unique images with the Gemini AI feature in webOS.
(Long-time fans of OLED TVs will no doubt remember that the G in the G series originally stood for ‘Gallery’ series, but now that honor appears to have moved to a new range.)
The company previously announced its new line of Micro RGB evo TVs and Sound Suite Dolby Atmos FlexConnect speakers, which will also debut at CES 2026 in December.
