The Ministry of Religious Affairs has taken an important decision regarding Hajj 2025, allowing private Hajj organizing companies and their subsidiaries to start booking for the pilgrimage and publishing details of private Hajj packages, Express News reported. According to a ministry spokesperson, booking for the private Hajj plan will be open from January 10 to 31. Various Hajj packages under the private plan are available on the official website of the ministry. The spokesperson clarified that the basic Hajj packages under the private scheme range between approximately Rs 1.1 million and Rs 2.15 million. Private Hajj companies will process bookings in accordance with the agreements outlined in the SPA (Service Provision Agreement). Additionally, for packages exceeding Rs 3 million, approval from the Hajj Policy Formulation Committee will be required. These packages must provide complete details during the approval process. The spokesperson further stated that personal details of people buying or selling Hajj packages exceeding Rs 3 million will be shared with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and other relevant authorities. Private Hajj pilgrims are advised to verify their reservations through the ministry’s website and the “Pak Hajj” mobile application and ensure that payments are made only through the company’s designated bank account. It is also mandatory to request a service contract for the facilities provided. The ministry has urged citizens to carefully understand the facilities included in their Hajj packages before finalizing their bookings.
