This is the perfect robovac for the clumsy: it will help you find out where you left your wallet

The Flow 2 is a new robovac from Narwal that has a nice trick for forgetful or messy people: it will use its AI-powered object recognition to detect and record objects it finds while cleaning.

This means you can use it to locate lost belongings, such as keys or a wallet. Just check out the cleaning list to help you find it. As long as it’s hidden somewhere on the floor, that is, if you left it in a coat pocket or it fell off the side of the couch, you’re on your own.

Searching for wallets isn’t the only trick the Flow 2 has up its sleeve. This is one of three ‘modes’ you can explore (you don’t need to select a mode before cleaning; you can do all of these things at any time).

In Pet mode, the robot vacuum cleaner will automatically detect the areas your pet frequents and will pay special attention to them when cleaning. You can also search for your pet to make a video call and even interact with them using a selection of animal noises. That is, assuming that the sound of a disembodied bark or meow will not send your pet into a frenzy.

In Baby Care mode, it will switch to a quieter suction mode and avoid cleaning the play mats so there is no danger of contamination. Finally, it can detect and log dropped toys, reminding you to pick them up (I suspect this one won’t be welcomed by everyone).
