Prince Harry looks fully ready to take on the Invictus Games in Birmingham in 2027, as he sets the stage for friends and family to support a meaningful cause.
The Duke of Sussex, who founded the support event for wounded and sick veterans in 2014, was apparently planning to extend an olive branch to his father, King Charles, to open the Games. Reports suggested it would fulfill Harry’s “dream” to have his father by his side for the event that means so much to him.
There is also the issue of Harry’s police protection verdict in the UK, which is pending, but sources believe it would be tipped in his favor this time.
While there is pending confirmation on the matter, Invictus Games shared an exciting update for the upcoming event as they set up the “best stage” in the UK in a special video. He revealed that there is an “exclusive” possibility of experiencing the possible reunion of father and son on stage.

In the video clip, Games host and competitor JJ Chalmers shared that this event “feels very special.” He noted that there are “people who want to share their stories and have the best scenario in Birmingham for 2027.”
2023 competitor Jonny Ball shared that the Games are “the lifeblood of our recovery.” It could possibly also serve as a means to regain a bond that was once broken by a breakup that lasted years.
A previous report in the sun noted that Harry “desperately wants Charles in Invictus and wants him to open the games alongside him.” Furthermore, the Games always invite Heads of State, but “Harry wants to go further with Charles involved in the opening ceremony.”
