I saw tons of cool devices at CES 2026, but the one I’ve been coveting the most isn’t from a traditional tech brand at all; It’s from IKEA.
The Swedish home goods powerhouse made its debut at the Las Vegas-based product show this year and, along with a smart version of its iconic donut lamp and a small portable speaker, launched a bigger speaker that I need on my wall right now.
You can put one on the wall, leave it on its pedestal on a sideboard, or remove the stand but keep it portable. The IKEA designer I spoke to showed it to me lying on a coffee table like an elegant art object, with a sound coming from the top.
The press release says the range was “designed around the idea that products that bring sound into a room should also add presence and character, even when not in use.” They certainly added something to the living room demo suite.

Circular speakers like this are not a new idea, but these have been made in the signature IKEA style, and also at the usual reasonable IKEA prices. The designs went on sale globally in December 2025 and are priced at $89 / £29 for the small, $100 / £50 for the medium and $140 / £80 for the large.
For that price, you wouldn’t expect the highest sound quality or the most advanced features, but they’re not super basic either. Each speaker has three sound modes that you can toggle for different listening experiences (one is good for things like podcasts, for example).
Everything can be controlled through the companion app, or if you want to keep things old-school, there are physical buttons on the side of the speaker to adjust the volume, play and pause, or switch between modes. You can also pair several speakers (from the same range or compatible IKEA ranges) to achieve a surround effect.
My favorite is the elegant off-white version, but if you prefer a little color, there are two fun, patterned options designed in collaboration with designer and color specialist Teklan.
