Based on the novel of the same name by Carola Lovering, the story follows the toxic relationship between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White).
They first met during Lucy’s first year of college in 2007, in the drama department, and continued to ruin each other’s lives until their present in 2015.
With the third season just around the corner, streaming platform Hulu released the third episode along with previously released episodes one and two.

The new season will pick up after the surprising season two finale that ended with Stephen and Lucy’s best friend, Bree (Cat Missal), listening to a voice recording of her boyfriend, Evan (Branden Cook), confessing that he slept with Lucy (Van Patten) in college.
Viewers knew about their one-night stand, but not Bree, who found out right before she walked down the aisle to marry Evan.
Following the suspense that left viewers with questions, White in conversation with USA today He joked about the third season by saying, “people are dealing with the fallout” this season, “and they’re having repercussions from the last few years.”
“Everything is coming to a head,” he said, “and it’s going to be explosive.”
Van Patten also hinted at what to expect from Lucy and Stephen’s relationship in Season 3, saying that it goes “beyond what I thought was toxic. I couldn’t even imagine these things if I wanted to.”
third season of tell me lies will premiere January 13 on Hulu and Disney+. Episodes will be released weekly on Tuesdays and will conclude on February 24.
