The mysterious disappearance of former NFL player Sam Beal has entered its seventh month, as attention now turns to the last person known to have had a conversation with him.
Former New York Giants cornerback Sam Beal disappeared in July of last year.
Despite an ongoing search, officials are still trying to find any solid leads, which has left both his family and fans searching for answers as to what went wrong.

According to reports from the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), which reports to the Department of Justice, Beal was last seen on July 12, 2025, after taking his girlfriend home.
Beal had the car for a while that morning, mentioned he was going to work, but instead drove it toward Virginia Beach.
His car was later discovered by one of his relatives. Inside, investigators located Beal’s shoes and socks lying on the front passenger floor, along with sand, raising eyebrows about his last movements before disappearing.
Authorities did not mention the identity of Beal’s girlfriend in official reports, however, law enforcement officials ruled out her involvement in any crime.
But all the attention is focused on her, as she was the last known person Beal came into contact with.
She reportedly received a phone call from him the next day, telling her that he was in Virginia Beach and was hoping to return home.
This phone call is marked as the last known conversation with Sam Beal on record.
On January 12, 2026, Beal’s sister Essence Zhane posted a public plea on social media, sharing information obtained from the missing persons report issued by NamUs, asking anyone who had information that could lead to the discovery of her brother.
She wrote: “Tomorrow marks seven months since we last heard from or saw my brother.”
As officials continue to search for Sam Beal, the role of his girlfriend, although no crime has been established, remains a key part of understanding the timeline of Beal’s sudden disappearance.
