Strands is the latest NYT word game after Wordle, Spelling Bee, and Connections, and it’s a lot of fun. It can be difficult, though, so read on for my Strands suggestions.

After understanding the most obvious ear-related words with DRUM, CHANNEL, and LOBE, I hit a brick wall and relied on the clues to complete the game.
Even with one hint I struggled with ANVIL, thinking it was something like livna before finally understanding it; If only I had spent more time examining cross sections of the ear parts.
In my long search to find words that were not games I found HEAR, but I couldn’t see that it was repeated. I hope I wasn’t the only person to do that!
