ISLAMABAD:
The process for the appointment of the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly reached its final phase this Thursday, with the verification of the signatures of the opposition legislators completed and the Secretariat of the National Assembly preparing the formal summary for approval.
The secretariat has sent the summary to the rapporteur’s office.
The Speaker of the National Assembly will sign the summary after consulting with Special Secretary Law Mushtaq Ahmed. All procedural requirements have been met, including verification of the signatures of opposition members.
