ISLAMABAD:
Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan on Friday said agriculture remained an important component of Pakistan’s trade as the country witnessed a significant rise in agricultural exports last year, rising by $3-3.5 billion compared to the previous year.
Responding to a call-up notice presented by Ms Aliya Kamran, Ms Naeema Kishwar Khan, Ms Shahida Begum and Muhammad Usman Badini in the National Assembly, the minister said the growth in agricultural exports was largely due to favorable international market conditions and timely response of Pakistani exporters.
