- The teaser contains major spoilers for the high fantasy series.
A new trailer for ‘in the coming weeks’ has been presented A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (AKotSK) – and I’m really surprised at how much it breaks down.
Released by HBO after the show’s premiere on January 18 and 19, the two-minute trailer includes footage from all six episodes of this season. And, while it doesn’t spoil one of the most important revelations in The errant knightthat is, the book that AKoTSK Season 1 adapts, the trailer doesn’t exactly keep its narrative cards close to its chest.
Look
If you decided not to watch the trailer above for spoiler reasons, don’t worry, I won’t describe the footage in this article. That way, you will be able to see the game of Thrones The prequel plot develops as each new episode appears. Make sure you read my AKotSK Episode 1 guide to see when new chapters will be released.
But I digress. Barring a couple of major storytelling moments, it’s strange that the plot of the HBO Max TV Original’s debut season is basically presented in its entirety in the latest trailer.
It is true that, The errant knight It is not a particularly long book. At just 66 pages, the novel written by George RR Martin, which is also the first entry in the acclaimed author’s ‘Dunk and Egg’ literary trilogy, doesn’t come close to matching the increasingly gargantuan tomes of Martin’s major novels. game of Thrones book series.
Given how long some of those novels are, there were plenty of shocking stories and other major revelations that HBO was able to hide in similar trailers that hint at what was to come in each of them. game of Thrones‘seasons. It was not necessary, then, to include the greatest in such a teaser.
Even so, although the multi-award-winning American television network may have wanted to whet the appetite of viewers with this AKotSK Season 1 trailer, I can’t help but think it wasn’t necessary to show, well, half the footage it shows. Based on some of the YouTube comments written below this sizzling video, it seems like some audience members are also baffled by how much it messes up.
If you are looking for fewer spoilers AKotSK content to review, I would suggest reading everything we know about A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and see why you almost became the first game of Thrones movie instead of a television show.
Once you’re done there, read my review of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms to get a taste of what’s in store for Ser Duncan the Tall and Egg without, you know, the spoilers.
