Bears defensive lineman Grady Jarrett was among those surprised by Cornelison’s voice.

“Oh!” he said several times in the clip.

Rams wide receiver Davante Adams was amazed by the giant American flag that was displayed across the field for the performance.

“It’s the biggest flag I’ve ever seen in my life,” quarterback Matthew Stafford was heard saying.

Cornelison’s singing caught the attention of social media before the game, with many fans and NFL experts praising his effort.

This isn’t the first time Cornelison has left an impression on NFL fans this season. He received applause in September when he performed the anthem before the Bears faced the Minnesota Vikings. It was the first game of the “Monday Night Football” season.

The 61-year-old is a regular at Chicago sporting events. He has been the Bears’ national anthem singer since 2010. He has taken the ice for Chicago Blackhawks games since 2008 and has sung “Back Home Again in Indiana” before the Indianapolis 500 since 2017.

Cornelison is just as popular outside of sports. She was part of the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists in Chicago and sang in some of the most popular opera houses in the world.

He also serves on the board of directors of the Illinois Patriot Education Fund and is honorary squadron commander of the United States Air Force Band Mid-America.
