Pathfinder Group champions women’s empowerment at WEF


High-level session in Davos highlights family healthcare, technology-driven solutions and inclusive development

The Pathfinder Group organized a high-level specialized session titled “Women’s Empowerment, Financial Inclusion and Family Healthcare” at the Pakistan Pavilion during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, according to a press release on Thursday.

The session was hosted by Dr. Huma Baqai, Senior Vice President, Karachi Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR) and Chancellor, Millennium Institute of Technology Entrepreneurship (MiTE). Hend Alhinnawi, CEO and CEO of Humanitarian Tracker, was the chief guest.

The event brought together policymakers, development professionals, academics and global experts, including Dr. Ying Zhang, Founder and President of Singularity Academy, and Dr. Salma Malik, Associate Professor of Strategic and Defense Studies at Quaid-i-Azam University.

On the occasion, Alhinnawi highlighted the global humanitarian and development perspective of women’s empowerment, emphasizing data-driven solutions and accountability to achieve inclusive social outcomes.

Dr. Ying spoke about innovation-driven entrepreneurship as a catalyst for women’s economic participation, while Dr. Malik provided a strategic perspective on women’s empowerment within the frameworks of national security and social stability.
