“Ariana and Cynthia not being nominated for Wicked is a huge disappointment,” Charlie wrote in X. “I don’t watch many movies, but I think the incredible musicality they both showed should be recognized.”

Cynthia and Ariana received Oscar nominations at last year’s ceremony, with Cynthia earning a nomination for Best Actress and Ariana earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
The first installment of Wicked It earned 10 nominations in total, including Best Picture, and won the Oscars for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.
While they finished the Wicked In the story, the two stars reflected on the trip with what they described as “overwhelming gratitude.”
