ISLAMABAD:
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary informed the Senate on Friday that a rescue package worth Rs 1,500 crore has been proposed to address the financial crisis faced by the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST).
Responding to a call for attention raised by Senator Sarmad Ali, the minister said that the Prime Minister had earlier approved a similar rescue package for Quaid-e-Azam University. He said all financial issues of FUUAST will be resolved once the proposed rescue package is approved.
