Is Prince Harry abandoning his royal title before the judge?

King Charles III’s youngest son Harry made a surprise decision about his royal title during his final appearance at the High Court in London.

The duke was asked about his royal titles when he took the stand in his lawsuit against a British tabloid editor on January 21. He testified for nearly two hours during the trial.

An interesting situation developed before his testimony when the duke and his legal team discussed how to approach it in court.

David Sherborne called Harry to the witness stand, as his first witness, referring to him by the title he received from Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day in 2018.

After Prince Harry, 41, promised to tell the whole truth in a Bible, Sherborne said etiquette advised that he “be called ‘His Royal Highness’ and then ‘Sir.’

Harry responded that he was happy with what was used last time, likely referring to his testimony in the 2023 phone hacking case against Mirror group newspapersbut added that he did not remember what that was.

“I think ‘Prince Harry,'” Sherborne said, so they settled on that.

Harry and other plaintiffs’ complaint against ANL alleges that the publisher and his journalists used “illegal information gathering techniques” to snoop into his personal life.

However, the editor responded that, in some cases, his reporters were part of Harry’s inner circle of friends.
