wonder manThe showrunner has revealed that he does not know the reason for each episode that is released on release day.
Speaking exclusively to TechRadar, Andrew Guest explained that he wasn’t aware of conversations about how the Disney+ show would launch. However, Guest said he hoped it would be the “right choice” for a series that has been labeled a half-hour sitcom by people both inside and outside of Marvel Studios.
wonder manwhich comes out on January 27 and 28, it is not the first The Marvel TV show will air in its entirety on its release date. In fact, each delivery of Echowhich comprised only five episodes compared to wonder manAll eight, launched on the first day of their arrival in January 2024.
Other Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) television originals have also had different release formats, with some releasing with one episode and others releasing with their first two chapters.
Meanwhile, iron heartone of Marvel TV’s releases from last year, was split into two parts, each consisting of three episodes each. Clearly, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to the comics giant’s television offerings on one of the world’s best streaming services.

However, this is only the second time that a Marvel Studios project for the small screen has been released in its entirety. Aside from the fact that a binge-watch might be appropriate for a series whose episodic length (end credits sequences notwithstanding) only ranges between 20 and 30 minutes, why is the Marvel Phase 6 TV show landing in one fell swoop?
“That’s above my pay grade,” Guest said with a smile. “As far as I know, there was no plan in one direction or the other. [to release it weekly or in bulk].
“I don’t think it’s necessarily up to Marvel in terms of how Disney wants to release it and market it, or how many episodes they would like to release at the same time,” he added. “So, we’ll see. I think there are positives and negatives to a full drop compared to weekly episodic releases, and I hope this is the right choice for this show.”
