Despite having a friend who works in the wine industry and having watched four episodes of Drops of GodI only know the names of a few different types of wine and today’s search covered them all comfortably. That being said, this seemed complicated to me.
Beyond the fact that they are all grape varieties, I don’t think there is any other connection: they are not even all red wines, CHARDONNAY being the white grapes.
Congratulations on the corkscrew spangram, though. Very smart.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Sunday, January 25, game #693)

- PLUG
- BATON
- CANE
- BET
