New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez was burned by a pass from Denver Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham to Marvin Mims early in the game, but made up for it in the fourth quarter.
As it snowed at Empower Field at Mile High, Stidham threw a high pass down the sideline that got stuck in the air. González came down with the ball for a turnover.
The interception helped seal New England’s 10-7 victory over Denver. The Patriots will advance to Super Bowl LX.
