Launched in December 2025, the Avatar Threequel proved almost impossible to knock off its top spot at the box office, both internationally and domestically.
With an opening value of $11.2 million, the latest dystopian nail-biter resulted in the end of fire and ash‘s domain, which fell short of its $7 million earnings after six weeks of release.
However, MercyThe triumph of ‘over the fantastic spectacle lasted only at the American box office, since the latter continues to reign on the world charts with 35 million dollars to its credit.
While the film starring Pratt debuted at number four in the international box office ranking, grossing $22.8 million.

In comparison, the box office gross during Avatar: Fire and AshIts debut weekend brought in a whopping $175 million.
Meanwhile, Rebecca Ferguson joins Chris Pratt in Mercywhich was produced on a budget of 60 million dollars. With its “$11.2 domestic debut,” the film supposedly “doesn’t instill confidence” in terms of breaking even at the box office.
