- Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold will cost $2,899 in the US.
- It goes on order on January 30, 2026.
- The Z TriFold comes in one SKU: 512GB of storage and in Crafted Black
We knew Samsung’s triple wouldn’t be cheap, and the tech giant finally shared the most important combination: the price and US release date. Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold will officially launch later this week, on January 30, 2026, for $2,899.
It’s not a small sum of cash by any means, but it’s less than $3,000, which is good news if you’ve been eyeing this impressive foldable that opens not once but twice to reveal a 10-inch screen. Samsung will only offer the TriFold, for now, in Crafted Black, the same shade TechRadar used, and it costs $2,899. It also comes with 512 GB of internal storage.
You’ll have to head to a Samsung Experience Store to pick one up in person, but considering the frigid temperatures in much of the country, including New York City, you’ll probably be better off ordering from Samsung’s online store. No waiting in line and possibly a better route for fast delivery. However, all of the latter depends on demand.
If you’re hoping to try just one, Samsung’s Experience Store is the place to do it. So far, Samsung hasn’t said which carrier, if any, namely Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile, will offer the Galaxy Z TriFold, although if that happens, a monthly payment plan could make the tri-fold phone a little more affordable.
At $2,899, the Galaxy Z TriFold costs $900 more than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has an MSRP of $1,999.99, although you can easily save a few hundred dollars by trading in a device or purchasing it during a sale. That puts the Galaxy Z TriFold in an even higher tier of premium flagship smartphones.
However, it really surprised us, in our practice, when TechRadar editor-at-large Lance Ulanoff wrote that the Z TriFold is “a remarkable, uncompromising feat of engineering that delivers the potential for truly portable, large-screen tablet productivity.” It really addresses the question, at least on paper and in its premise, of whether it is necessary to carry a phone and a tablet with you, as it combines the appeal of both in one device.

The Z TriFold opens up to a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which really impressed us, and similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the front cover display is a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X. It doesn’t skimp on performance either, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy under the hood and 12GB of RAM.
Of course, we’ll need to spend more time and put it to the test outside of Samsung’s hands-on space to offer our full review of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold. Still, if the $2,899 price tag sounds worth it to you, the Galaxy Z TriFold will be available to order directly from Samsung on January 30, 2026.
