Security forces on Sunday carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in Kacchi district of Balochistan, which led to the elimination of 27 terrorists.
The operation was launched after intelligence indicated the presence of militants in the area, the army’s media wing shared on Monday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces quickly surrounded and attacked the terrorists’ hideouts.
After an intense exchange of fire, the forces successfully neutralized the terrorists. The operation also resulted in the destruction of several militant hideouts, along with large caches of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
The terrorists eliminated in the operation were responsible for numerous attacks against security forces and civilians, and were on law enforcement’s most wanted list.
The ISPR emphasized that the militants had been involved in destabilizing efforts across the region, contributing to the current violence in the area.
The army statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring peace and stability in Balochistan, underlining that security forces will continue to confront any attempts to undermine progress in the region.
